geography
The world is a large place, and this is really only a small portion of a much larger whole. In order to make things a little less confusing, we felt as though a map would help keep us all on the right path. This page will do its best to make sure all of the locations and their affiliations are understood. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!

mirerenna
While the Kingdom of Mirerenna only has rule over the coastal territories, they station guards and soldiers as far inland as Boulder Valley in Dalry. Most commonly, The Endless Forest is considered in the region of Mirerenna.
  • Highgate The Capital of Mirernna, A Kingdom of Men. This large city contains a massive palace and huge countryside. A noteable feature is the massive Highgate bridge which spans from the peninsula that the palace is situated on, across the busy port, to the outer fields and farmland.
  • Lowgate Another major port of Mirerenna, this town looks as though it was created as a small replica of the capital, down to the bridge and harbor.
  • Dawnsburgh A fishing town in Mirerenna (just like all of the villages along the coast), Dawnsburgh is the last stop on the way for convicts sent from Highgate before they are taken to the Island of Mesash and left to die.
  • Kirkwall The Mirerenna vacation town of the royals. Important figures from Ruand and Dalry, Camneas and Skorrajvik all visit to take in the sunshine and walk along the diamond shores.
  • Steeldrift A very rough and tumble town, full of the hardest of sailors and the heartiest of criminals. While it is owned by Mirerenna, it is hardly civilized. Steeldrift is not for the faint of heart.
  • King's Watch The ruins of the King's Watch still sit on either side of the massive inelt of northern water. Originally the Watch was a pair of massive statues in the likeness of the first two human kings. The nearby Dwarves tore down the statues during the third age.
  • The Endless Forest A forest that is so thick and dense many believe once you get lost within its borders there is litereally no way to get out. Many trees grow so tall and thick they block out the light. Peculiar things grow and live in the forest, from massive spiders the size of royal carriages to the Mushroom Hall, a section of the forest where mushrooms and fungus grow from everything in all shapes, sizes and colors. Most areas in The Endless Forest are not mapped, due to the density.
  • Arha Edhil One of the larger outposts of the Elves in the north part of the Endless Forest. The Elves here live in flets up in the trees and patrol the paths and trails in and out of the area.
  • Wild Wood A home for Halflings who believe they are living like their primitive Wildling relatives. Most are just avoiding a life of slavery in the major capitals. The area is frequently poached by men looking to sell Halflings. Lately there have been changes in the Wild Wood, by way of magical glowing plants no one can explain.
  • The Shimmering Silence A massive lake, miles across, yet is alarmingly still. At present, Elves patrol the area, though many believe there is something sinister in the lake, looming.
  • The Mirerenna-Ruand Road Cutting across the Endless Forest just south of The Shimmering Silence, is the famous Mirerenna-Ruand Road. This is a trade path through the endless forest, though there is a toll along the road for traders and travelers alike. One could just as easily avoid the toll by cutting through the forest itself, however it is very easy to get lost.
  • The Old Elven Route The other road through the Endless Forest is the Old Elven Route. This path is also tolled and takes three times as long as the Mirerenna-Ruand Road.
  • Camneas The coastal town of Camneas is a large mecca for learning and culture. This town is the Elven capital and defined by its ornate and beautiful architecture. People of all races come from far and wide to get a chance to study with some of the best crafters, fighters and sorcerers in the land.
dalry
Dalry is a region of lush plains, epic battles and arctic temperatures. In the west is the Human Kingdom known by the same name. To the east is Norn territory. Both nations are situated on either side of a massive inlet of water, just south of the Arctic Edge and are constantly in conflict with one another.
  • Redwater The capital of Dalry is a huge fortress known as The Silver Keep because the country is so rich in silver ore which they mine from the northern mountains in the summer. The Keep has high walls and a moat, along with other forms of defense, as they are situated direcrtly across from their enemy. Beyond the Silver Keep is the rest of the town known as Redwater.
  • Skorrajvik The Norn Capital is positioned just across the water from Redwater. With huge lodges coming to massive peaks, the city is quite intimidating for the humans that can see it in the distance. It is built into a steep cliff, tiered so that they are always prepared for an attack. Skorrajvik also has massive statues of animals all around, built into the rock and the buildings themselves, many built out of solid ice.
  • The Bloody Cross/Hafrsfjoror The entire region of Dalry is mostly defined by the Bloody Cross or Hafrsfjror in the Norn language. It is a massive wall and gate in the inlet of water leading to the south, and a huge stronghold of power. There is near constant fighting going on at the Cross, between the soldiers of Dalry and Norn fighters.
  • Caister Just north of Redwater and northwest of the Bloody Cross is Caister, a town famous for training not only some of the most fearsome fighteres in the realm, but the best military officers. In Dalry children dream of studying in Caister and one day joining the King's Guard.
  • Thorpe One of the few towns in Dalry not devoted to training warriors, Thorpe is a quiet fishing town in the north.
  • Northwold A bustling town of trade, recieving goods from Mirerenna, Ruand, Gya, as well as the other races. Northwold is a town full of all sorts of characters with their own stories to tell, and one of their favorite places to relax is The Dirty Bird Tavern.
  • Boulder Valley The officials of Dalry believe they technically own the small community of Boulder Valley, however a few of the other nations have gone soft and decided to protect the halflings living there from slavery.
ruand
The region of Ruand is known mostly for its lush plains and vineyards, as well as the near constant threat of Barbarian invasions from the east. It is bordered by the Voldarin mountains in the west, the sea in the south and the regions of Dalry and Gya in the northwest and northeast.
  • Voldarin Mountains The former home of the Voldarin Dwarves. The mountains act as a natural border to the West of Ruand and are also the site of a bloody massacre on the Dwarven people at the hands of the Ruand Empire.
  • Ornaebel Ornabel is a very expansive mountain Elven town high in the peaks of the Voldarin. This site was once the capital of the Elves, but the capital was moved due to fighting with the Dwarves. Ornebel remains a very bustling Elven city.
  • Aredale Aeredale is the capital of the Human Kingdom of Ruand. It sits high on a hill overlooking The Crystal Sea. There was a time that the horselords of Ruand would get involved with the fighting over the Bloody Cross, but lately they are staying out of conflict.
  • Three Streams A human city in Ruand, Three Streams is a very warm and inviting environment. It is surrounded by farms and rolling hills, however lately the Barbarians and Wild Men to the east have been getting a little too close.
  • Hollyhead Hollyhead is a famous human settlement for their horse training. People from all over pay a lot of gold for a horse trained by the Ruand Riders of Hollyhead.
  • Farwater The Farwater Mill can be seen for hundreds of miles on either side of the plains. It is famous not just for its size but for the Halfling Bazaar where produce and livestock are sold for fair prices.
  • Moradorn Ruins At one point, the plains of Ruand were alive with a massive open air city run by the Dwarves. The city has since been abandoned and turned into ruins, but the site of Moradorn is still a sight to behold to this day.
  • Southern Alpaca Range In southern Ruand there is a very large area populated by Alpacas. Both domesticated and wild, the Alpacas are sold in bazaars as pack animals and livestock. They are also shorn and their fur is sold in bulk or processed into fiber to make wool. Alpaca cloaks are very sought after in the north.
  • Caald Territory This is a territory of land in the southeastern portion of Ruand where the Caald Tribe has taken over and remains in power.
  • Tor'ceol Once a moderately sized town of Ruand, Tor'ceol was taken over by the Caald Wild Men over 100 years ago. It remains a stronhold and their capital to this day.
gya
The region of Gya is dominated by the massive Black Castle in the southeast known as Deathfall. Though most of the borders are closed up, it was once a very friendly and welcoming kingdom of men, with beautiful sprawling cities and massive bazaars.
  • Deathfall With it's Dragonspine towers, the Black Castle at Deathfall is a beacon for those lost and looking for something. It is the capital of the nation of Gya and home of the mysterious figure known as Baelfire.
  • Easthaven Both Norn and Gyans alike populate the town of Easthaven. It is also a home to Halflings seeking refuge from the harsh treatment most men give them.
  • Cherrytown A once sprawling and beautiful little human town to visit, in recent years things have changed in Cherrytown. Most noteably is the fact that the citizens have closed up their borders and are no longer inviting outsiders to their famed Cherry Blossom festival, nor are they selling their goods.
  • Old Savanna At one point the plains of Ruand stretched right up to the wall of mountains, but since then they have been invaded by Wild Men and Barbarians. Old Savanna was once a place where wild horses and Alpaca roamed free, but it has since been taken over by Gya and the fearsome Hoarde.
  • Bikkral Mountains Beneath the Bikkral Mountains lies one of only two remaining dwarven kingdoms in Tyriedar. The Bikkral was once bustling with activity, prosperous and peaceful, complete with above-ground outposts and dwarven homes scattered across the mountains. This changed 30 years ago, with the inadvertent introduction of a plague-like disease that ravaged its population, causing the majority of the cities within to be abandoned. The small remaining population is now concentrated in a single city just beyond the doors.
  • The Last Pass A small town high in the Bikkral Mountains. It marks the only safe passage, other than the Dwarven halls underneath, into the Eastern Lands.
  • Draktheod Lands Draktheod are strong and fearsome Barbarians located just south of Deathfall. They worship the Dragon and fire, which is why a home full of guysers and monsterious lizards is perfect for them.
  • Igirre Fall Legend has it that a huge dragon fell somewhere deep in the Bikkral mountains. However few know the location. Igirre Dragon scales are sold in markets to this day.
the north
The region in the north is mostly desolate except for the few human outposts and the homes of the North Men.
  • Norvegr The sea port of the Norn. These North Men prefer calling themselves Vikings and take to the oceans every summer to do battle with unsuspecting sailors or invade southern territories.
  • Hilthic Mountains The Dwarves that once occupied the Hilthic Mountains are no more. No one is quite sure what happened to them, but it is a safe bet that they were slain by a combination of Men, Norn and Syphilis.
  • Dragon Reach Keep An ancient human outpost in the Northern Wilds, now under the control of Mirerenna. It's said the keep has withstood blizzards, armies, earthquakes and even Dragon's Breath.
  • Haaenakadi Once a giant ice palace, beautiful and magnificent to behold. The Elves that lived in this town where frozen in place by their leader in an attempt to save them from the savagery of the Norn just before the magic disappeared. They have since thawed out without the leadership of their former king and now wander Tyriedar looking for a home and preaching about their religion.
  • Honor Point This outpost belonging to Dalry is a stronghold clear in the most northern reaches of the map. Dalry sends their soldiers to Honor Point in an attempt to toughen them up.
  • Eyjasveit One of many homes to the North Men. Eyjasveit is a large city with a decent sized economy. Here warriors train and hope to go fight along side their brothers at Hafrsfjoror in order to defeat the monsters from Dalry. Also home to a large community of Soundless Elves.
  • Keldvar Mountain Range Housing the largest of the two remaining dwarven kingdoms, the Keldvar Mountains in the north are constantly snow- and ice-capped, inhospitable to all but the most hardy of travellers - and the way through is shut to all but dwarves, so going over is the only option. Once a peaceful kingdom, the current king earned his title by bloodshed, and his people grow restless now that they are largely isolated from the outside world.
  • Castlefront Once a northern outpost of men, Castlefront has become a home to Norn and Barbarians alike.
islands
The Heartless Ocean is a fearsome place full of terrors and wonders alike. From Mermaids, buried treasure and priceless pearls to Kraken, seabeasts and hijackers, it is a sailer's paradise and nightmare.
  • Mesash/The Savage Island The original home of the Halflings, Mesash is an island that is known for the primative tiny savages that still inhabit the land even after most of their ancestors fled. It is also the prison island Mirerenna sends their convicts to.
  • Hopeless Haven An island in the Heartless Ocean full of very bizarre and huge crab-like creatures known as Karkas. Their shells, meat and eggs are all very valuable on the mainland and only the bravest or most foolheardy of warriors travel there.
  • Knife's Edge Vikings, giant crabs, krakens and pygmy savages can't hold a candle to the dread the series of islands known as Knife's Edge place in the hearts of travelers. The Pirates in the Heartless Ocean have terrorized so many that most travel routes are forced to go up past King's Watch and down through the Bloody Cross in order to get to the mainland. And no pirate is more ruthless, more cold hearted, more sadistic than the stocky Dwarf pirate known only as 'The Boar'.
